Guided walking tours in Donegal, Ireland
Welcome to Walking and Talking in Donegal.
My name is Sean Mullan and I organise and lead the walks. You are assured of a warm welcome, companionship and good walking if you join us.
Read on and see what it’s all about…
Joining us means coming to Donegal, one of the least visited and most glorious counties in Ireland. Situated in the north-west it has mountains, woods, lakes, cliffs and without doubt the most spectacular beaches in all of Ireland.
The names alone – Inishowen, Fanad, Errigal, Sheephaven, Muckish, Rathmullan, Ballywhoriskey – send out a call to come and explore.
Magical whitethorn and the intense vivid yellow whins ( gorse ) in May and the blood-red fuchsia and purple heather of summer and autumn bless us with colours that adorn and enhance our wild rugged landscape. Our wild orchids fascinate our walkers.
We will be based in Ramelton, a historic town dating back to 1609.
It is situated on the River Lennon and has a wealth of architectural heritage with fine old Georgian houses and a lovely tree-lined mall.
